About The Ridge House Condos
If you think about a classic Washington, DC styled mid- or high-rise, then Ridge House is one building that comes to mind. Built in 1964 and converted to a condominium building in 1979, Ridge House is an eight-story building with 89 units. Most of the units in the building are studios and one-bedroom apartments with a handful of two bedroom units as well as two penthouses.
Ridge House is situated in the heart of the Arlington Ridge Road neighborhood only two blocks from the Pentagon City Metro stop and Fashion Center at Pentagon City. This is an ideal spot for commuters to Washington and surrounding areas.
With lots of shopping, restaurants, and nightlife, it is easy to see why this is a popular area for the young, upwardly mobile crowd. Residents in the part of town are also very well educated and transient as many are not originally from the area.
Ridge House Real Estate Market
On the outside, the building is a classic condominium style building with many upgrades on the inside by owners. Additionally, the building has $1.5 million of renovations including updated balconies and new energy efficient balcony doors.
The grounds are well landscaped with a nice picnic are equipped for barbequing and a sunny outdoor pool with sundeck and fieldstone pool house. The pool house is actually the Well House, the only remaining structure from the site of the Tea House Restaurant built in the 1920s. In addition to the outdoor amenities, there are several others that are worthy of mentioning.
Along with an on-site manager, there is remote control building access as a measure of safety. Laundry facilities and locked storage units for each apartment are located on the bottom level of the building.
Selling Your Home In Ridge House
Although the Ridge Road area is filled with a somewhat younger crowd who are more transient, this building has a very low turnover as the residents who live here tend to stay here. There have been only five sales in Ridge House over the last 12 months with one bedroom units ranging from $205K to $284K and one two-bedroom unit sold for $300K.
