When it comes to considering living at the Cavendish, it is all about location…location…location. This classic 12-story condominium structure was built in 1958. The units here are studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

Situated in the heart of the Arlington Ridge Road neighborhood, the Cavendish is very short walk from the Pentagon City Metro stop and Fashion Center at Pentagon City making it an ideal spot for commuters to Washington and surrounding areas.

There is so much to do around the area that it is easy to understand why the Arlington Ridge neighborhood is so popular with the young, upwardly mobile crowd. Residents in the part of town are also very well educated and transient as many are not originally from the area.

When standing in front of the Cavendish, this vintage condominium building is a little deceiving because it is not as architecturally stylish as some of the other condominiums in Arlington. However, when you step inside one of the apartments, you will see why people enjoy living here.

Many of the apartments have been remodeled and updated with features like granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and remodeled bathrooms. Outdoor amenities include well-manicured landscaping, a large outdoor pool with sundeck and parking for residents. The Cavendish Real Estate Market

List prices at the Cavendish range from the mid $100s for studios to the low- to mid-$200s for one-bedrooms and the mid-to upper $200s for two-bedroom apartments. There were nine sales in 2011 ranging from the mid $100s to upper $200s.

It is worth noting that the sale prices on these apartments have dramatically increased over the past 10 years when all units in this building that sold were priced well under $100K. With the nightlife, retail, fun and major corporations housing offices in the area, it is understandable that that the demand and pricing in this area would increase at this rate.
