About The Cherrydale VA Subdivision
Cherrydale, established in 1893, is a delightful neighborhood in the middle of Arlington with a population of about 3,600 people. This neighborhood is comprised of smaller neatly kept homes that were built primarily in the 1920s through the 1950s. Bordered by Interstate 66 and within walking distance to the Virginia Square Metro station, this neighborhood provides easy access to Washington and many other Arlington area neighborhoods.
The Cherrydale neighborhood has a very small town feel to it as it is made up of mostly single family homes. Although busier areas like Ballston and Virginia Square are close by, Cherrydale has a growing business district within this perfect little neighborhood.
Local shops and restaurants give this neighborhood a very close knit community feels. Additionally, the oldest volunteer fire station is located here. Four neighborhood parks are located in Cherrydale as well. With all this little neighborhood has to offer, it is no wonder that this is a top pick for the under 40 crowd who are ready to settle down and raise a family.

Selling Your Home In Cherrydale
Real estate in Cherrydale is a little more upscale than other Arlington neighborhoods. The market is strong and steady just as it is throughout all of Arlington. Although the average number of days on the market has increased to 52 days over the last year, the average sale price is just over $900,000 – a 13% increase over last year.
This means that sellers are a little more agreeable to letting their homes stay on the market awhile longer in an effort to hold steady on their list price.
